2020 Spring Programs

2020 Peewee Cup & Rising Stars Plus+

 

Hockey Winnipeg’s 2020 Peewee Cup development program will be taking place at Gateway Sportsplex between March 30-April 6. The program is open to 12 year-old (2007 born) AA peewee male players in Winnipeg. Each participant will be placed on one of six development teams. Each team will participate in 2 – on-ice skill development sessions (between March 30-April 2) and 5 – round robin style competition games (between April 3-April 6). Registration will be available in mid-late February. The registration fee for this program is $150. The Hockey Winnipeg Peewee Cup also serves as the precursor to Hockey Manitoba’s Rising Stars Plus+ program. The top players from the Peewee Cup will be invited to the Hockey Manitoba Rising Stars Plus+ program. Each player in the Rising Stars Plus+ program will receive approximately 6 – on-ice skill development sessions between April 8-April 30 (locations/times TBD) and then participate in the Hockey Manitoba Rising Stars Cup tournament between May 1-May 3 at the Bell MTS Iceplex. Please note there will be additional charges for those participating in the Rising Stars Plus+ program.

2020 VP Cup & Director’s Cup

 

Hockey Winnipeg’s 2020 Vice President’s Cup development program will be taking place at Gateway Sportsplex between March 30-April 6. The program is open to 13 year-old (2006 born) Bantam 2 AAA male players and Bantam AA all-star male players in Winnipeg. Each participant will be placed on one of six development teams. Each team will participate in 2 – on-ice skill development sessions (between March 30-April 2) and 5 – round robin style competition games (between April 3-April 6). Registration will be available in mid-late February. The registration fee for this program is $150. The Hockey Winnipeg VP Cup also serves as the precursor to Hockey Manitoba’s Director’s Cup program. The top players from the VP Cup will be invited to the Hockey Manitoba Director’s Cup program. Each player in the Director’s Cup will receive approximately 6 – on-ice skill development sessions between April 8-April 30 (locations/times TBD) and then participate in the Hockey Manitoba Director’s Cup tournament between May 1-May 3 at the Bell MTS Iceplex. Please note there will be additional charges for those participating in the Director’s Cup program.

 

2020 Female Peewee Prospects

 

Hockey Winnipeg will be handling the registration process (except for the payment) for Winnipeg female peewee players who are eligible to participate in Hockey Manitoba’s 2020 Female Peewee Prospects program. The Female Peewee Prospects program is a skill development program for 1st and 2nd year female peewee players (11 and 12 year-olds). Each participant will receive approximately 6-8 one hour on-ice skill development sessions between April 1-April 23 (locations/times TBD) and then participate in the Hockey Manitoba Female Peewee Prospects tournament between April 24-April 26 in Portage la Prairie (Stride Place Arena & Portage Mutual Arena). Registration will be available in early-mid February. Registration for the program is limited and based on category. All 1st and 2nd year female AA peewee all-star players will be able to register for the program first. Depending on the number of spots that are still available, registration will then be open to other female AA peewee players.
