Please join us for a dinner to celebrate the successes of our Midget All-Stars following their game at the Iceplex. The dinner will be held in the back part of the restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Iceplex at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $25/each.

Hockey Winnipeg is excited to announce the upcoming All-Star events throughout the month of January at arenas around the city. January is an exciting month for hockey in Winnipeg, as we celebrate the successes and accomplishments of young hockey players in and around Winnipeg. Some of the top players from their teams will showcase their talents at the following events throughout the month.

AAA All-Star Day – Saturday, January 13th at the BellMTS Iceplex (9:00 AM til 5:00 PM)

AA All-Star Day – Saturday, January 20th at Gateway Recreation Centre (10:00 AM til 8:00 PM)

Dianne Woods / Lindsay Tait (Bantam A2, Peewee A1) All-Star Games – Saturday, January 20th at Allard Arena (11:30 AM til 4:00 PM)

Female All-Star Day – Saturday, January 27th at East End Arena (Time TBD)

Ron Stamm Midget All-Star Game – Saturday, January 27th at BellMTS Iceplex (2:00 PM til 5:00 PM)

2017-2018 Hockey Winnipeg rule book

 

The 2017-2018 Hockey Winnipeg rule book can now be found under “Resources”.  Please note some of the following rule changes:

 

  • Minor Midget and Minor Bantam have been eliminated
  • Midget now includes ages 15, 16 & 17
  • Bantam now includes ages 13 & 14
  • Body checking is only allowed at Midget A1 and Bantam A1.  All other divisions are now ‘non-body checking’
  • Novice A1 is now Novice A (7&8) and will be played on ½ half surface until December 31st

 

Provincial Midget AAA Zones

With the Winnipeg Bruins joining the Thrashers and Wild in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League some clarification is needed on the new Provincial Midget Zones.  The new Zones are as follows:

Winnipeg Bruins

  • River East – South of McLeod/Oakland

Winnipeg Thrashers

  • St. James-Assiniboia – Postal Codes R2Y, R3H, R3E, R2R

Female Skate and Educate 2017

Hockey Winnipeg Female Council will be hosting a professionally run skate for Novice aged girls (8 years & younger)

The event will be held @ the MTS ICEPLEX

Tuesday, August 29,  from 5:30 – 6:30 pm or 6:40 – 7:40 pm OR Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5:30 – 6:30 pm or 6:45 -7:45 pm.
