LSMHA Timekeeper Clinic

The LSMHA Hosted Timekeeper clinic will take place at the Memorial Hall, Saturday  October 10th from 8:30am until 12 Noon.  Registration is not limited to just those within LSMHA.  Registrants are welcome from every area association.

Prerequisite for Level 1: Participant must be 13 years of age or older. Timekeepers must certify as a Level 1 Timekeeper for two years before moving to Level 2.

Prerequisite for Level 2: Participant must have completed two years as a level 1 prior to certifying as a Level 2 and 15 years old.

**All Timekeepers are required to register each year, including the Level 2 Timekeepers exempt from writing the exam. The registration cost for those exempt from the exam is $10. First year participants in Level 1 must purchase a binder for $10.00.

Passing grade for Level 1 Timekeepers is 70%, Level 2 is 80%

*There are a limited number of timekeeper positions available each year. Please contact your area hockey association directly for information and to find out whether timekeepers are needed in your area. Attending a time keeper clinic does not guarantee you a timekeeper position with your hockey association*

PLEASE NOTE: South Winnipeg Timekeeper registrants MUST once again be accepted applicants for the 2015-2016 Season. Please register with them prior to signing up for a clinic.

Seven Oaks Timekeeper Clinic

The SOMHA Hosted Timekeeper clinic will take place at the Seven Oaks Iceplex, Tuesday, October 6th from 7-10pm.  Registration is not limited to just those within SOMHA.  Registrants are welcome from every area association.

Prerequisite for Level 1: Participant must be 13 years of age or older. Timekeepers must certify as a Level 1 Timekeeper for two years before moving to Level 2.

The SWHA Hosted Timekeeper clinic will take place at St Norbert CC on Saturday, Oct 3rd 9am-Noon.  Registration is not limited to just those within SWHA.  Registrants are welcome from every area association.

2016 Brandon Tournament of Champions

The Brandon Tournament of Champions is back for another season.  This year the tournament will run February 5th to 7th, 2016 for all Atom A/AA and Peewee A/AA and February 12th to 14th, 2016 for the Bantam A/AA and Novice A (making it’s debut this year)

The 10th Annual Christmas Challenge

The 2015 Christmas Challenge will start on Monday, December 21st and run until Wednesday, December 30th, 2015. The tournament will involve multiple divisions in both the Female and Male programs. The Female divisions will be positioned over a six day time period, December 21 – 27 (No games December 24/25) and the balance of the divisions will have different start and finishing dates, as listed below. As always, the rural teams that enter and who require hotel accommodations will have their schedules condensed to a three day time period December 27 – December 29. Please note, no games will be played on December 24th or 25th.

As in past years, the tournament will take place at the Richmond, Gateway and St. Norbert Arenas and when required, it will branch out to other community centre arenas such as Dakota and the St. Vital Arena.

Every player will receive a tournament souvenir and after each game will receive a drink or food product. As well, after a team’s final tournament game, a presentation will be made to the player of each team, who has been selected by his or her coaching staff, as its “Hardest Working Player” during the tournament.

The Christmas Challenge Tournament Entry Form can be found on the next page under the green ‘tickets’ button. Please send your completed entry form and entry fee to the attention of Murray Harding at the address listed at the bottom of the form. You may also email the completed document to richmond@swcc1.ca or fax it to 204-261-8961. If you choose to email or fax the entry form, payment is to be received within five (5) days of the transmission in order to guarantee a position in the tournament. The tournament entry fee is non refundable after Sunday, November 1, 2015.
