Former Winnipeg Avros Player lighting up the CIS as a Rookie

Alanna Sharman, who spent the last three seasons with the Winnipeg Avros of the MFMHL, is having a great rookie season with the U of M Bisons.   Sharman currently ranks 1st in Points with 17 goals (3rdoverall) and 23 assists (2nd overall) and could very well be on her way to capturing the Canada West Women’s Hockey scoring title.  Hockey Winnipeg is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Alanna and wish her and the Women’s Bison team (including other former Hockey Winnipeg members: Alexandra Anderson, Nicole Carswell, Erin Kucheravy, Amanda Schubert, Nicole McGlenen and Maggie Litchfield-Medd) all the best in their journey to the Championship.

The U of M Bisons finished third in Canada West with a 19-7-2 record and play Game 1 of the best-of-three series versus the Regina Cougars, Friday night at 7 o’clock at Wayne Fleming Arena on the U of M campus.
