WRHA Research Project

The WRHA has a team leading a research project about young adults’ sexual health and wellbeing.

They are recruiting Winnipeg-based young people (ages 16-24) to complete an online survey. They would like Hockey Winnipeg’s help us to reach a wide population of young men (Midgets and Juveniles, specifically).

For more info about the kinds of questions being asked, here is a link to the survey: http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/health-in-common/wrha-baseline-survey/

We know Hockey Winnipeg is invested in the health and well-being of its players – as demonstrated by the willingness to address, prevent, and respond to contact injuries, like concussions. They are enthusiastic about the idea of working with Hockey Winnipeg to promote this survey (e.g., via social media, webpage, opportunities to distribute information at local games, etc.).

This project was ethically reviewed and approved by the University of Manitoba Health Research Ethics Board, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Research Access and Approval Committee, and the Red River College Research Ethics Board.
