Winnipeg Wild to Host the 2024 TELUS Cup West Regional Under-18 Championship
Hockey Winnipeg is extremely proud to announce that the Winnipeg Wild have been selected as the host club for the 2024 TELUS Cup West Regional. The event will see the top U18 AAA Male teams from the West Region (Saskatchewan, Northern Ontario and Manitoba) compete for a spot at the 2024 TELUS Cup.
The event is scheduled for April 4-7 2024 and will be played out of the hockey for all centre, the home of the Wild.
Hockey Winnipeg would like to congratulate the Wild and their bid committee on a tremendous effort so far and we pledge our support in the planning and execution of such an important event.

Golf Tournament Details
The 17th annual Dianne Woods Memorial Golf tournament is under a week away!
Date: Wednesday, May 31st 2023
Location: Elmhurst Golf & Country Club
Tee-off Time: Shotgun start @ 12:00pm
Please arrive for team check in between 10:00-10:30am with lunch being served at 11:00am. The tournament will follow a best ball format, with additional individual challenges that players can enter to compete in such as: closest to the pin, putting challenge, longest drive, straightest drive, etc. Dinner will be provided in the clubhouse after the round of golf where winners will be announced.
**Please note there is no ATM on site, so please bring cash with you.**

AA Coaching Opportunities – APHA Rangers
The APHA Rangers AA Hockey Program is currently looking to fill coaching positions for the 2023/24 season.
The Ranger program strives to attract and retain the finest coaches available for the program and make every effort to look for independent, non-parent coaches.
These positions include both the heading coaching and assistant coaching roles. Cooper Nemeth Hockey Memorial Raises Thousands
The 2023 Cooper Nemeth Hockey Memorial was held on Saturday, March 25 at Gateway Community Centre. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Cooper Nemeth Memorial Player Assistance Fund, which provides funding for minor hockey players within Hockey Winnipeg at the AA level. Without this funding, playing AA hockey would not be possible for many young athletes in the city.
This year the event raised an incredible $22,010.37 which will go directly to assisting families in next year’s AA program.
The cheque presentation pictured above includes (L to R) Gaylene Nemeth, Lenny Baranyk Jr., Brent Nemeth, Daryl Fowler and Angie Beaque.
Applications for the Cooper Nemeth Memorial Player Assistance Fund can be downloaded from the Hockey Winnipeg website under the Resources tab for the 2023-2024 season starting in September.
Support Ste. Anne – Kraft Hockeyville 2023
Hockey Winnipeg is proud to support a neighboring community in their quest to be named Kraft’s Hockeyville 2023.
Ste. Anne is in the final with the last round of voting opening up on March 31st at 9:00am. If they win, they will get to host an NHL Game and receive $250,000 worth of Arena upgrades.
